Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is located within Portsmouth Naval Base with entry through Victory Gate at the corner of Queen Street and The Hard.

Our address is: Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Visitor Centre, Victory Gate, HM Naval Base, Portsmouth PO1 3LJ.

Public transport

Portsmouth Harbour train station is just 200 meters from our entrance. Coach and bus services stop at The Hard Interchange, outside our main gate. The Gosport Ferry and Isle of Wight Catamaran also operate nearby on a regular basis.

By road

Portsmouth Historic Dockyard is less than five miles from Junction 12 of the M27, follow the brown and white signs to "Historic Dockyard" which will lead you to our official 295-space car park. This is located only 400 yards from the entrance at Victory Gate. If this car park is full there are others within close proximity at Gunwharf Quays and Havant Street.
